Nuevo Vallarta (New Vallarta) is a resort area located between Puerto Vallarta and Bucerias in Nayarit. It is effectively the southernmost destination in Riviera Nayarit. Nuevo Vallarta is almost an equal distance from the International Airport as downtown Puerto Vallarta, but in the opposite direction. Because of this close proximity, Nuevo Vallarta is considered an extension or part of Puerto Vallarta in the minds of many tourists that have stayed in either town, even though it is in a different state.
With 4 miles of fine sand beaches and some of the biggest ocean-front resorts, make Nuevo Vallarta an excellent vacation choice. You can take day or half-day treks into Bucerias or Puerto Vallarta with relative ease to get a taste of traditional Mexico, real Mexican cuisine, art, shopping, and more. Nuevo Vallarta also offers plenty to do to keep you occupied during your entire stay.
Things to Do & See
There are plenty of water sports to enjoy such as scuba diving and snorkeling. If you like it more above the water then you can try paragliding and boat tours off the coast.
You can also swim with dolphins and enjoy water park rides and slides. Or just chill out on the Nuevo Vallarta beach.
